Scholarship Fund

The Scholarship Fund is dedicated funding for Unit #1 residents who are pursuing education beyond high school. CCHS seniors, current college students, adults aspiring to return to community college, technical school, or university, are all eligible to apply for a Unit #1 Educational Foundation scholarship. Multiple scholarships have been awarded to CCHS seniors at the May Awards Night each year following a rigorous review of applications by our scholarship committee. Awards have also been given to adults in the community. Criteria for these applications include: scholastic ability, moral character, leadership, community service, and financial need.

We grow the Scholarship Fund through proceeds from our annual golf outing, from sponsors, from individuals, families, or groups who make donations throughout the year. Many families contribute as a memorial for a loved one. Some have targeted their contribution to a student entering a particular field of study.

We are working to increase the Scholarship Fund in such a way that awards for various fields of study will increase. To that end, we invite alumni (an individual or as a class), families, businesses, professionals, corporations, to pledge any amount into a named field of study or interest to them. These tax deductible contributions will benefit students of all ages who may not otherwise have an opportunity to pursue that field of study.
